Data Migration Platform

Extract + Analyze + Heal + Enrich + Transform + Clean + Standardize + Map + Load + Configure + Validate + Manage

Our Data Migration Platform consists of Software Components and Data Elements. The Software Components populate the Data Elements. The Data Elements provide re-usable & flexible mechanisms to configure Software Components. The platform has been designed to migrate CAD files, Non-CAD files, Attributes, Relationships, Product structure, BOMs, Items, Attachments, and ECOs. It supports the latest, specific, and full-version history dataset migrations, CAD configurations, and family tables.

We minimize custom software development costs and lead time by utilizing a component architecture and re-usable elements with pre-configured functionality. Our CAD file extractors and CAD Healing utilities ensure that your final CAD integration with your PDM / PLM system works as well as possible.

Our platform's component has been designed by our system subject matter experts and migration architects to work with any PDM / PLM source/target version, API, programming language, database language, platform, or operating system.

Migration Project Data File

Our migration project data file stores rules, objects, attributes, and relationships. The rules and input attributes can be shared between project datafiles to maximize project re-usability. This single file is portable and can be used with any operating system, platform, and programming language.

Rules Engine

The Data Transformation Engine has a powerful rules engine to perform advanced analytics and data processing. It can logically modify Metadata on Files, Configurations, Relationships, and Versions. By using regular expressions it can intelligently search, extract, and modify string patterns. With its rules we can logically combine data from multiple sources. Each set of rules from a migration project can be re-used in later migrations, significantly reducing migration configuration time

Metadata

We extract all of your metadata from every source available. Metadatea includes file properties, file name, file path, attributes, custom properties, configuration specific properties, and parameters. The most common examples of Metadata are Part Number, Description, Revision, Version, State, and Filename. Metadata sources include CAD files, PDM/PLM systems, ERP, and Business Intelligence Systems / Databases. Once extracted into our Migration Project Data File, your metadata can be analyzed, viewed, cleaned, standardized, transformed, mapped, loaded, and configured.

Relationships

We extract each relationship from every referencing object. This includes objects such as Assemblies, Drawings, BOMs, Items, and ECOs. Common examples include Assembly-Part, Drawing-Part, BOM-Item, Item-Attachment, and ECO-Item Affected relationships. Once extracted into our Migration Project Data File, your Relationships are used to maintain or improve your referential data quality throughout the data migration. We can also propogate Metadata between parents & children and from version to version.

Excel

From our Data Transformation Engine, we can select and view metadata in Excel. Once in Excel we can quickly identify gaps and errors in your data, review your transformations, and review your mappings. The Excel file also provides an exchange format to collect data from your engineering team. We can export it, your team can edit it, and we can quickly update our Migration Project Data File. This timie-saving feature provides another data quality improvement capability to our solution.
